A Whiter Shade Of Pale : traduction de Anglais vers Français.
A Whiter Shade of Pale first dawned upon the world during 1967, forever known as the Summer Of Love. Beads, bells, incense and caftans had become the latest fashion hippie accessories. But more than just a passing fad, it was part of a social revolution. Gary Brooker's soaring vocals, Keith Reid's poetic images, and the swelling organ tones of
One Of The Best '60s Acts Procol Harum formed in 1967. With their smash hit "A Whiter Shade of Pale", they broke into mainstream as the single sold over six million copies. Their name is a Latin phrase that's roughly translated as "beyond these things". They released ten albums before breaking up in 1977.
HwzTo. The first and most famous hit single of the early progressive rock group Procol Harum and found on the album with the same name. The song was written in 1967, before the Summer of Love and became one of its anthems. Procol Harum â named after a Burmese cat belonging to a friend of the groupâs manager. It is believed to mean âBeyond these far off thingsâ in (misspelled) Latin. Keith Reid, who wrote the lyrics, said about the song (from songfacts): Itâs sort of a film, really, trying to conjure up mood and tell a story. Itâs about a relationship. Thereâs characters and thereâs a location, and thereâs a journey. You get the sound of the room and the feel of the room and the smell of the room. But certainly thereâs a journey going on, itâs not a collection of lines just stuck together. Itâs got a thread running through itâŠ.I feel with songs that youâre given a piece of the puzzle, the inspiration or whatever. In this case, I had that title, âWhiter Shade of Pale,â and I thought, Thereâs a song here. And itâs making up the puzzle that fits the piece youâve got. You fill out the picture, you find the rest of the picture that that piece fits into.

We skipped the light Fandango Turned cartwheels cross the floor I was feeling kind of seasick But the crowd called out for more The room was humming harder As the ceiling flew away When we called out for another drink The waiter brought a tray And so it was that later As the Miller told his tale That her face, at first just ghostly Turned a whiter shade of pale She said there is no reason And the truth is plain to see But I wandered through my playing cards And I would not let her be One of the sixteen vestal virgins Who were leaving for the coast And although my eyes were open They might just as wellâČve been closed And so it was that later As the Miller told his tale That her face, at first just ghostly Turned a whiter shade of pale Writer(s): Keith Reid, Gary Brooker, Matthew Fisher Lyrics powered by

Gennembrudsnummeret A Whiter Shade of Pale med Keith Reids tekst og det smukke klassisk inspirerede orgelspil er et nummer, jeg aldrig har vĂŠret trĂŠt af at lytte tilâŠ.
